Alright guy i'm new here and have had my LS for may be 8 months (ill post pics in the Spring time b/c of the snow) but have a question on exhausts. i was originally gonna get a magnaflow but am thinking about a Bassani system. First off where can i get one b/c i went to bassani.com but don't see anything for the LS? Secondly can i use those Stainless works headers with the Bassani system? and third what would be the seggested Tip size? I want some thing that looks aggresive. Maybe some thing along the lines of what bullschmidt has

most of the aftermarket is drying up for the LS - the cat-back systems were only for the Gen1 (2000-2002) so as they are aging, the vendors are not selling many parts and they are being discontinued and removed from their inventories. I do not believe you can get a Bassani any more.

The header will not work with any cat-back system - since they are assuming you are swapping the stock cat-back.

Bassani never made a cat back system AFAIK.. we use the universal mufflers and I used the areo turbine res.. its a full custom system and they can defiantly make it work with the headers..

magnaflow has a cat-back system out now for the Gen II, not relevant to you, but just saying :D

You have to order them by phone from autoanything. Then they will place your order with bassani and bassai ships them out to you. I say 4'' tips so the bumper cut outs are filled in better. They can make the headers work with your exhaust but it wont be a "KIT" that you can install yourself without having to change everything, it will need some modification but it can be done.

just remember - that the header will require custom CATs as part of the custom exhaust.

yeah, thats what I was referring to. They will have to be move a bit further down wont they and the wires for the sensors extanded?

For the tips you should do either 3.5" or 4". No bigger and no smaller...ive tried both sizes and they both look great but i prefer the 3.5" myself.

Here is what my 4" tips look like. I personally like them cause they fill up the cutouts nicely.

right - the stock cats are welded on to the exhaust piping on the backend and are angled - to come off the manifold and then turn under the floor. So you most likely would have to find some replacements that are straight, cut the exhaust to fit, weld in the tri-flange, and then extend both your O2 sensors and the Cat effiecency sensors.

Hmm i should have got bolt on tips like yours so i could change them out easier.
