Ok...since I have been looking for exhaust tips for quite some time now I thought that It would be a good idea to post some pics up so that I can decide of all the exhaust tips that the market has. Also for future reference and for other members as well who have been trying to make the same decision that I am trying to make

nothing "wrong" with a quiet vehicle at all. I just prefer to hear that I'm driving a V8. Plus the few added ponies never hurt anyone

yeah back on topic here...

I just took two quick photos of mine, gotta take a daytime shot one day.

They're Magnaflow double-wall 3" straight cut tips. I thought the 4" looked too big (even though they fill the bumper hole nicely) especially since I wanted the straight cut and poking past the bumper a little bit.

I think with the look you have been going for a nice sized dual tip would be best.


I would get the straight cut ones, non staggered, cut out the bumper and lay them flush with it.

Those staggered ones are nice but think they would be off for some reason.

Here are two pics of mine. I will be upgrading to the magnaflow at some point. Just got the girlfriend to agree to the plasma, so thats coming first. (wow, that sounds sad :shifty: ). anyways, these are a little dirty, but you get the idea.

Here'sa couple more pics. I included a link to some tips that are damn near the same style as the ones I have. The tips in the link are like 12" long, but that's the way these were too. IIRC, the exhaust shop hacked off a lot of the material so it would fit nicely under the LS, then they welded direct to the muffler, no to the outlet on the muffler.

Thanks! I've been very happy with the look. I like it better than the stock gen 2 setup because my tips fill the space! I tried to follow Artur's clearances, but there was too much play in this exhaust system. It would've rattled like a SOB everytime I went over a bump if I would've kept it any closer.
