I have a 2000 LS and am getting an external tempature reading which is completely wrong (eg. it is 16 degrees and I am getting 27 degrees). I believe the sensor maybe bad, but could there be anything else causing the bad reading ? How much is it for external temperature senor ? Any help would be appreciated.

Give it a bit to come down, mine always starts high and as the car warms up and gets rolling it eventually gets much closer. Driving by the banks around here, its usually only 2 degrees high or low from their temperature readings.

You might want to check

You might want to check and see if you accidentally changed the setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius.

Also Possible!

However

16 degrees Fahrenheit = -8.8 degrees Celsius
16 degrees Celsius = 60.8 degrees Fahrenheit

It would be going in the wrong direction!

16 degrees???? Damn.

Mine always seems a little higher too, like today it was reading 103 but I think it was only 99 or 100 out.
