Factory HID units for 03+

ya that does seem to be really cheap.......but wouldnt it be even cheaper to just get an aftermarket kit for the ones you have now? That would cost you between 200-400, and arent the aftermarket ones suppost to be better than the oem ones?

No, they are good, but using an HID bulb in a non HID designed reflector is not as efficient and sprays light in a more uncontrolled beam. That is why aftermarket kits are sold as "for off road use only". Now if you are more concerned with color that actual light on target, the aftermarket kit is the way to go as you can control the color temperature.

Stupid question but how can you tell if the headlamp is an HID or just a regular headlamp? I have a set of 03+ headlamps.

Not a stupid question. There are warning labels (High Voltage IIRC) on HID units and they have electronics under the covers on the bottom of the units. The stock units are empty. The bulbs look different but I don't remember how they differ. GrayGhost1 (Ken @ LSKoncepts) probably has more information on this subject.

well one way is to turn the lights on and see if they make some kind click noise.
