Factory sub amp has turn-on pop

I just finished installing my eclipse 5435 head unit, turned out great. I used the proper wiring harness adaptor and everything plays fine, but it has a terrible amp turn on pop as soon as I turn the key on, any ideas how to make this go away? Also, did the factory alpine cd player have a crossover in it for that sub amp? I ask because the eclipse rca's plug into the it but the woofers now sound as if they are playing full range.

You'll need one of these inline with the amp turn-on wire:

you can use a resistor also. drop down the voltage to 9 volts or so. either way would work. as far as the cross over issue im not sure on that with out listening to it. i dont have the rear subs in my car. im sure somebody has had and fixed that problem. good luck.
