Hello, my name is Kevin and I'm having LS issues.

"Hello Kevin!"

I live in Va Beach, Virginia - weather is starting to get around 50-60 in the mornings. Lower temps are coming and I dunno if this is weather related but here's my prob - for the last two weeks about once a week, I'll start my car in the morning, put it in reverse about 3 seconds after starting and then it'll go into ETC FAILSAFE MODE and start rumbling. Then I'll drive about 100 yards, pull up to a stop light or pull into a parking lot and restart my car and it'll be fine. Then my check engine light will come on for about 4 days. I was gonna get it checked out but had to do some moving and I'm driving to Boston this weekend so I can't get it checked then - anyone have any ideas?? Think my battery needs time to warm up or my car for that matter before I pull off and go?

thanks guys.

If you have CEL then get the codes read instead of guessing what is wrong.

My past experience with the same issue ended up being bad coils. It seems if you replace only one or two the problem spreads to another coil. Depending on the year and miles i would look into the coils and replace all of them even if it only ends up being 1 or 2 bad ones.
