Did anyone else get duped into playing that game and strangely find yourself "harvesting and planting" you farm every day?

...I kept getting "invitations" and "gifts," eventually I gave in.

Played it for a month or so, got fed up and removed the application.

Same deal with that 'Brute' game - got bored.

MafiaWars seems to be another one that is passed around, played for a month or so, then do to pointlessness, ignored.

Yeah, I won't be tempted into Yoville, Mafia Wars or any other of those public 'long term' games anymore.

I like the Mindjolt games application (has tons of 'quick' arcade style games) and I occasionally play the car IQ / car gurus games.

i played it for about a month too, then got bored with it and stopped doing it, still have the app.

I started it about a month ago..I'm at level 21 now, and I will leave a family members funeral and pay at a public internet spot just to harvest, fertilize, or search for mystery eggs.

So yes, I'm severely addicted, as is my wife.

Yeah I played for a while, eventually got tired of wasting twenty minutes everyday harvesting and planting to get a virtual snowman.

We have a couple inspectors here at work that play that all of the time. They say it is addictive. I have haven't played farmville, but if it is like Sim City at all, i'd play it for weeks. I better not play it.:p

Nothing like Sim City....

I recently bought a copy of Sim City 4 while at the store. That game is brilliant. Though I haven't figured out how to set up an effective public transportation in the Sim world...

Note: This is SIM CITY, not "The Sims".
It's a city manager, not the life-replacement one.

Farmville isn't a patch on the Sim City series!

I'm scared to play my SimCity 4 and SimCity Societies, now - they're like time machines - you play for what you think is a couple of hours but in reality, days have passed!

Always liked the Roller Coaster Tycoon games, too!

I know in the city, I have found the most effective mass transit system is the subway if you set it up in "rings" around the city. Small ring in the center then a bigger ring around that etc. till it looks like a bullseye target. You also have to have sub stations every couple blocks because those sims are so lazy. Of couse this keeps the pollution and traffic congestion to minimum.

Ok I'm a nerd.
