I recently felt like my car has lost the "pep" it once had. I was able to pull off at decent low rpm's which felt great, especially if I floored good lord it felt like a rocket take off. Now a days, I see that my rpms are shooting up to 2500k before i get a shift and my speed is only 15-20mph when pulling off from a dead stop. I changed the COP's and plugs (which recently had been done in the summer.) but changed them again anyway with the same end result. It just doesn't feel the same anymore. There's too much lag. Any ideas?

Clogged PCV system? Fuel filter?

how would i check for a clogged pcv?

If it hasn't been serviced it probably needs attention. The isn't a conventional valve.

From Alldata......

REMOVAL
Remove the lower intake manifold.

Lets make a note here that's on a V6

fresh fuel filter will make a huge difference and although we are not going to get into how to do a correct drive cycle KAM reset procedure, I would suggest puling the cables from the battery terminals for better then 30min and reattach, on start idle for 1 min, then just drive it normally and let it relearn the rest on it's own.

Air filter, intake air breather element, when was it last changed?

and just to be sure, check your rear wheel temp and take notice of any carbon stink, not unheard of to have the rear calipers begin to seize up, long story short, I found mine on one side smoking one evening. E-brake was not on but it was binding nonetheless.

Throw some fuel injector cleaner in the tank on the next fill up, either that or couple ounces of acetone. (no, I kid on the Acetone)
Might even suggest and entire bottle of seafoam into the tank, no worries!

Plugs were gaped correctly?

keep us posted, sounds interesting!

Well a fuel filter will be coming in monday, spark plugs were gapped at the correct setting and verified using a gap tool. As far as brakes go, I did the two fonts since the driver side was seized which resulted in a clicking sound when I drove. That's all fixed now though. The rears look like they have 25% life left on them. If it helps, the rear passenger brake caliper was replaced a year and a half ago since it was leaking fluid.

On another note, I took it down to Riverhead yesterday (approximately 75 miles from my location) and it ran pretty damn sweet. However when it came to passing cars, it did hesitate a lot. I did notice a heavy vibration in the right passenger side front upon braking, but that's another issue.
