how does the lse fin mount if you don't have it, do you need to drill into the decklid? I'm interested in getting just the regular lid fin and not the three piece or the one that lifts off the decklid. I want the one that smoothly comes off the back and up, no spaces between it and the lid and believe it has no LED.

I want to start calling junkyards soon ..

Thanks!

P.S if you have an extra to sell, do tell in a PM :Beer

I have an LSE type spoiler from spoilerdepot.com and you have to drill holes to install it. I have heard from Ken that some use only double sided tape. But I have never ran across any. Maybe he can answer that for you.

Can I see some pics of the one you got if possible? Thanks!

-Edited-

Sorry I went to the site and see the pics now, nevermind!

Jason,

When Lincoln introduced the LSE they put the low profile spoiler on and it just held on with double sided tape. I know this for a fact because I have an actual LSE spoiler that came off of a 2002 LSE. The second one I have that is on my car is secured with four screws on the end. The LSE spoilers that others sell are not formed like the factory spoiler so you have to pull the corners down so that it will form to the deck lid.

I have attached a couple of pics that show where I put the screws.

Ken,

Thanks a lot for the pics! I don't mind drilling into it now that i see where you've put them. Thanks for the heads up, where did you get yours, any secret spots??? :D

Spoiler depot has some fair prices, but i'll keep lookin around at pricing...

Thanks again for everyones input

Personally I like the screw version I have,
1. Becasue we have some ignorant people around here (not the board) who like to steal stuff and a taped spoiler is easy access.
2. I dont want the tape to loosen one day and wave my spoiler byebye.

But either way, I love how the spoiler looks on the car. I have one pic in my garage but it's kind of far away.

Well, the one I have on my car now came from Akkord29 (aka Jay) above. I believe he got it at spoilerdepot.com. I have an actual factory LSE spoiler in the garage that I will NOT sell. However, it's in my trophy section of the garage. You know those items you buy, never use and have bragging rights that you have it. It sits beside a brand new deck lid I bought still in the factory Ford box. I'm planning some day to custom fab the deck lid.

I emailed that guy today and asked him if it was made for the LS or is it an M3 lip spoiler made to fit the LS. He said:

SIR..

THE SPOILER IS MADE TO FIT 2000~2004 LINCOLN LS ONLY NOT FOR M3. SORRY WE DONT HAVE PICTURES AVAILABLE. THANK YOU.

REGARDS.
ALTIMOTORS.

It's a pretty cool lip spoiler. It looks better than the one they put on the 04 LSE's now.

Buyer beware, it may not be the same seller, but one of my friends bought one of these types of spoiler for his car and it did not fit at all. It was about 2 inches too long. Just a heads up.
