I finally finished it and put it on the car. Here are the before/after pics...

Here is the link to the old thread. I think this looks so awesome it needs its own thread.

Post up some comments. Thanks.

Looks nicely made, but I think the finished product is too... see-through. :shifty:

I think that it looks good, but you should paint the hood area underneath the grill black. It stands out too much and makes it look naked.

LOOKS GREAT!

Good job on the project.

I like the red emblem, nice subtle touch! But then again I have the red emblems also.

I know you needed the plastic old grill back for the mount, and you said the flash made it show up more than in person, that is the only thing that detracts.

IMHO

My next two projects are going to be putting mesh in the bottom half where the fog lights are and painting the rear license plate surround black.

Here is a farther back pic. When you stand a little farther back it you dont see the stuff behind too bad. I still love it though.

Great job! :Beer Looks incredible, but I'd still consider going flat black on the stuff behind the grille. And maybe a black Lincoln star; as much as I like red, that one sticks out a bit too much for my tastes.

Please dont take offense but Im not a fan the grill isnt cut evenly around the perimeter and you can see everything behind it to well. BTW it looks like you passenger side fog light is geting ready to fall off. I do like what youve done but I think it needs to be refined a little.:)

Should color match the surround part that used to be chrome to the rest of the car. You could put another layer of black mesh about an inch behind the grille for a less see through look.

Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking about going with the same graphite color. However I want to get the whole car blacked out. That is why I went with black. Black with red accents.
