car problem since i got the car 2 yrs ago, from reading looks like the cam postion sensor, car turns over but wont start, :Bang and then :Beer

just got my 250 $ tip and now looking for x pipes and then the whole exhaust,,,one bad and one good thing today...... :tmi:

If I were you.......because I have been in this position before.....I would replace both the crank and the cam sensors. I had one go bad, then about a week later it seemed that the other one went bad. They are under $50 including shipping, and well worth the extra money for the extra piece of mind......I did that on my purple car because I did not on my green one, and I almost got stranded on the way to Carlisle........that will never happen again. When I did the new motor I put a new cam/crank sensor in....even thought the cam/crank sensors were relatively new on the motor that I was yanking out.

As for the exhaust, you can go MANY ways. You can go Geno's, you can go with Dan, or you can part it together yourself. Any way is a good way, it all depends on what you want to do. I got my mufflers from Geno, and ordered my own x-pipes off of the net, and then had the muffler shop do the 2.5 inch pipes and weld it all together. Dan's pipes are true mandrel bent, and all you have to do is purchase mufflers, and have an exhaust shop weld it all up. It all seems to add up to about the same thing in the end....price wise. It all depends on how you want to go.
