Regardless of who the next president is, the one thing that better be started immediately after this election is, voter registration reform.
This should not be an earth shattering problem.
Some are making it a lot worse than it has to be.
One very simple solution is, every voter should produce a valid state driver's license or state issued identification card when registering, and that id would be incorporated into the registration form.
That way, no one living in another state could register in a different state, and people could not register more than once.
Some systems are set up using the "motor voting" process, and this has proven foolish.
Checking dmv records tends to be inacurate.
With a picture id, with a signature attached, the odds of fraud would be practically nill.
It is rediclous that four years have gone by, and this registration process is still a mess.
Another item that HAS to be addressed, is get rid of Acorn, and similar groups that register voters, and leave it strickly up to each states secretary of state.
Wit this system, the chances of fraud are greatly deminished.
This needs to be started now, and not four years from now, else we will find we are still in the same mess.
