I actually got pulled over for having my tint too dark. I had a friend who knew a cop and said that he would get it signed for me. Turns out that the cop said that if he did sign it off for me and I got caught with it again that he would get into some trouble.

Anybody know any way out of this? Should I just get my tint removed and have a cop sign it off and then retint it??? This really sucks, it's something that is just a waste of my time and money. CALIFORNIA laws suck ass!!!

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Tint doesn't look that bad does it? Front is a little lighter than the back.

whats the legal limit in Cali?? Its 30 here in S. Carolina. Just get it retinted a little bit under the legal no point in taking it off to reput it just as dark

haha ya it does kinda look dark, sorry...

what i did was go to my eye doctor and complain that the sun was really bothering me while i was driving and i got her to write me a note saying that my tint was for medical purposes... of course this was just after i suffered from my 2nd concussion so i had an excuse, but try it anyway... i love my eye doctor!

ya know thats true about the eye doctor, I had thought about that after I had a concussuin, he was the one that brought it up. But I already had them tinted and that was fine

The eye doctor thing will work, or have the tint re-done, or pay a tint place that will print off a receipt saying you had it re-done.

You can't have any tint on the front 3 windows in Cali I thought.

you can... but the law in cali says the front has to be at least 75%..:blah:

which is almost no tint at all...

you cant have any form of tint on your front windows here in jersey...... but i jus put my front ones down when i see the law. :D

I have all my windows tinted here in Cali and I've been pulled over many numerous times for them too. But I have a note that I got from my eye doctor saying that they need to be tinited because I have light sensitive eyes. Before I got the note, I just had a cop buddy of mine sign off my tickets and never had any problems. They have no prof that says you didn't get it re-tinted after you pulled it off.

cali law says no front windshield except for 4in visor and no tint on two front windows. although my mustang never got me in trouble and that car is double limo all the way with a 12" double limo visor LOL

My good friend in Ohio had to strip his off and show the courts the receipt, fined, and had to have it re-tested. This was about 6 yrs ago and it was on a 00 Mustang.
