Anybody else got this problem? CHEAP AND EASY FIX.

I ordered a piece of sail-shaped mirror glass from rockauto.com and put it on yesterday. Total piece of cake. I pried the plastic cover from the mirror with a flat screwdriver, cut the two wires connecting it to the casing, and cleaned off all the nasty oil. Then I windexed the old mirror, and, using the adhesive strips included in the package with the glass, stuck the new mirror right on top of the old one. Looks like new. I'll post pics later. I forgot to take a before pic, but I'm sure you 93 owners know EXACTLY what it looks like: CRAP. I didn't want to replace the cover b/c I don't need the self-dimming feature. It's only caused me a headache at best. I threw it away.

Part cost less than $19.00 after shipping.

Mine too

I just did mine on my 96 and the difference is like night and day. I also do not need the auto dimming feature because of the dark tint on my side windows. I ordered mine from the same supplier. Worked exactly like they told me it would. Now if only all repairs to the Mark would be this easy.

Yeah, it's the very first time I've worked on something on this car that it was actually easy and quick.
