Got my new compressor and Spider Extreme from Eddie at American Air Suspension. Probably the biggest job I've done to a car myself (I hate working under cars) but really was not too bad. The instructions were good and everything came ready to go (thanks Eddie!). Changed my fuel filter and brakes while I had the car off the ground.
We had one cool morning where the AC was freezing me (I usually leave it on for air circulation). I turned it up a few degrees and then a few more all the way to 90 and it was still blowing fairly cold! It did appear to be less cold, but only as much as if I just turned the compressor off and left the vent on. Just got the car a couple of months ago so I don't know if this is a blend door issue (AC always works ok) or someone bypassing the heater core? Anyone have any experience with this? Luckily it's hot again in Dallas so it's not an issue, but give it a month! :Bang
Have to give you all credit, in the couple of months I've had my 98 LSC I've seen many of the common issues on the forums. So far, I had to take the tilt wheel apart (howled like a stuck pig when moving-lubed it), had the air ride compressor die, changed warped rotors and of course the highly technical door ajar PB Blaster upgrade! Just signed up for the Gold membership to support the site, it sure helped me through the 70K fall apart, should just about be good til' 140K now :dancefool
