Last night i was driving home and my heater hose broke again... started leaking and smoking allll over! Fixed that and then i start my car this morning and my air compressor for the air ride starts up as normal and then gets louder and louder and makes a grinding choking noise, and turns off. hasnt turned on since. Now my Ride Control light turns on and my car wont raise... did my air compressor go bad on me?
Now the questions
What year cars have the same air compressor.. so if i was to go to a junkyard what years can i pull from?
Is it fixable without buying a compressor.. or do you think it may have just died?
Can i do the work myself? or is there somethin more complicated to replacing it?
Can i drive around without the air ride control... or is it not a good idea??
