Flashing Orange Light?

Can anyone tell me what the flashing orange light on my windshield just below my mirror is on my 02 LS. I’m guessing its something to do with the rain sensor but for the life of me I cant figure out why it would have a flashing light. Thanks

From the outside?

The rain sensor should only be a barely visable light that is constantly on (that is, if the WW switch is in auto). You should only really be able to see it from an extreme angle.

Cool so dose that meen its smart enough to put up the windows by its self as well, since there is no way to put them up by remote and the light starts flashing once I open them with it.

Nah...the only way to raise the windows from the outside is to put the key in the drivers side door and hold in the lock position.

it was deemed a safety issue to have the car close windows without the driver taking action.

DUH!! I would say that makes perfect sense! Kind of like power window switches requiring you to pull up on them to raise the windows. That way a kid can't step on them while he's gawking out the window and strangle himself.

So I was in a freaking downpour 3 nights of the last 6 and I was testing out the Auto setting on my wipers. For the first 2-3miles it worked like a dream, perfectly matched the fast then slow rain etc. I pull up to my girls house, sit there for a minute *with them on* then she gets in and I leave, they don't work at all. Won't sense the rain at all, I manually wipe it a few times to see if it was just a fluke but it wont work.. the next day the same situation happend, worked for a bit then just stopped. Any ideas on this one?

what they cant put a senser like what was in my dad's 1994 GS 300 as soon as it meets resistent it stops untill you hit the button but then agine. I guess you cant have everything.
