Fog light bulb question?! (HID)

Okay I'm going with a black and purple theme on my first gen v8 ls. I want purple HID fogs (30,000k 35w) the problem is that I can't find them in 9145 bulb size, however I did find them in H11 bulb size. Will the H11 fit in the 9145?

a quick look through ebay shows that most companys show their model fits both sizes(H10/9145)... H11 is your low beam headlight size (if you have a 2nd gen)


I'm also surprised that any retailer that would sale crap 30,000k HIDs would not list both sizes as the same... even weirder that you cant find 9145 HIDs in any color as the ricers love them and they can be found anywhere.

also while I won't bore you with most of the reasons that is a terrible idea that you probably already know, I'll at least give you the one where 30,000k HIDs often look less like a cool purple and more like a terrible pink.

Lol, I don't know why I couldn't find them but thanks for the info. I m guessing they will be that gross pink color, but there cheap so why not try it. Thanks for the help again

it would be more accurate to tint your lenses purple than try and do it with the bulb... purple film is everywhere...

He's putting HIDs in halogen reflectors. Legality doesn't seem to be a concern.
