I haven't been too active on the forum for quite awhile, but the time has finally come for me to part with my beloved LS. I wanted to make it available here on LvC before I officially list it because of all of the support I have received along the way from this forum. I would prefer a local sale, Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area.

Ever sold it ??

Well, technically, yes... I kept the car but then in March/April of 2012 the transmission had some major problems and it needed to be replaced which priced out at around $3500. At that point, the car wasn't worth much more than that so I ended up trading it in on the purchase of a 2011 Buick LaCrosse CXS:

The dealership did not detect the transmission issue and gave me full trade-in value on the Lincoln. I still have the Buick and it's a great car, but I do miss my baby, the LSE...

Oh no! How much did they give you!?!? Lucky bastards.

$3,500 I think, which was right around the trade-in value at the time. Without the transmission problem, I could have sold it for quite a bit more to a private party, but I was happy to get what they gave me considering the fact that the transmission would occasionally get stuck in 3rd gear. I couldn't in good conscience sell it to somebody like that, but I had no issue sticking it to the Nissan dealership where I found the Buick (which was arguably over-priced). :)

It was a sad day, but ultimately I ended up with a car that hasn't given me a single problem for 4 years. The LSE had some crazy issue every 6 months or so it seemed.

Sorry about that man, yea it was sad. It just looked so dang clean! How much did you get it for?

The Lincoln? I bought it in 2005 for $19,500 I believe. It had about 40k miles on it at that point. I was pretty anal about keeping it clean... Paint cleaning, polishing, waxing twice per year, etc. The only mods I did to it was

I picked up the Buick for about $24k in 2012 with maybe 25k on the odometer.

Well, hope it left some good memories.
