this is the handle i bought off chris K9T8M not long ago for my 97. it will fit all 97 and 98 mark VIII's. its in great condition. its from a sable not a collector edition but it looks very similar. the only difference is it does not have an over drive button in it like the mark VIII, easy solution is included with the sale, i will include the rear defrost panel with a switch mounted in it already all you have to do is take the 2 wires from your overdrive harness and put 2 small connectors on them and plug them onto the switch, it is a momentary switch so all you do is push it to shut overdrive off, push it again to turn overdrive back on, there is no polarity with the wires, you can put either wire to either side of the switch, i had this in my 97 and it looks awesome, but i went back to my stock black leather knob because i want the whole inside black, i am even going to have all my factory wood trim covered in black woodgrain thats the only reason why i took it out. there is no damage to it, its perfect. $50 bucks shipped anywhere in the us and it will come with the panel and switch, its a 10 minute install. thanks.
