anyone interested in a 2 book trans build manual by Ford, all discription of operation, hyd.circuits, pinpoint charts, tool part #. in 2 3-ring binders in very good condition.

No, but I have a question.

Is there any difference between valve bodies on '93-'97 4R70Ws and the '98. The reason I ask is I want to do the J-MOD on my '98 but use a valve body out of one of the '93's as a test mule so in case I don't like the results I can just switch back.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

on the jmod are you talking about drilling the seperator plate. you can buy the plate that is the same you have . i dont think that the 93 will work because of the update threw the years.but that IS off the top of my head .i check it out. :Beer

just checked parts they stopped selling the seperator plate seperatly. if i knew witch one you needed i could probably find one and ship it to ya.

Thanks for the reply. I hate to go and drill up the '98 plate I have and then not like it. The Baumann kit, I can't find enough detail on it, ie: like a picture to see what is actually included in the kit. Bummer.

question?

I have two manuals for a tranny rebuild, one is the dealer manual and the other is an ATSG tech manual, with these and some knowledge of an automatic transmission, is it possible to rebuild one and do it right?

If you have the specific manual for the specific tranny then it is possible. I have rebuilt a few turbo 350's with the help of the specific manual for that tranny.....so yes it is possible. :Beer
