Ford engine orange?????????

I belong to a model car website, and a younger member asked " what is a good match for Ford endine orange?" for a 70's muscle car he is going to build. Is there such a color for Fords? I thought all Ford blocks were painted dark blue in the 70's.

Really early 70s was the lighter blue, I believe thats the more popular color. The dark blue came in somewhere in the mid 70s. I think it varied on motors too, small block/big block.

I used to build planes and cars from kits all the time. Years ago after every payday i would buy 4 to 5 model kits and build them, don't have any of them left my neice and nephew happened to them. I got these two that i need to finish when i get the time.
