Ford Five Hundred good buy?

So I currently am rocking out the 02 Lincoln LS v8(and loving every minute of it) however gas wise it is a pocket burner, and I am not sure how long I would want to roll with a gas bill this large, was looking at cars and saw the Ford Five Hundred, looks like a good car, with better mileage and a modest style set. Is it worth the harder look or no?

the CVT trans blows. i would avoid it.
the Haldex all wheel drive system was pretty cool though.

dunno about reliability or anything though.

Yea i was thinking more about the 6 speed transmission, because I dont trust the CVT, something about it bothers me.

The CVT is actually pretty good in that platform. It is a lot of car for the money, based off of all the Volvo engineering that went into the Volvo P2 platform.

friend of mine went through two CVTs under warranty. around 30k miles a piece? maybe the had a lemon. but i would still get the 6.

Buddy has a Fusion with the CVT. I immediately thought it shifted like it has a stall converter.Lol. It's definitely an odd experience.

Yea man, I dont mind Fords 4cylender in the Fusion so I figure I would like the small 6 with either tranny.

My wife owned a 2011 Jeep Patriot with cvt. GOD I HATED HOW IT SHIFTED! I don't like it.
