For about a year now I've been experiencing a problem with the oil light coming on at idle or after dropping below 1.5rpm. Turns out to be a the oil pressure sensor. I read on multiple posts that it's happening on a lot of v6 models but no one offered a solution so I just did the deed of posting the outcome to my situation. Though the oil light can come on for more reasons, make sure to rule out any possibility of low oil pressure.
