At least I didn't take it on the head.

Someone didn't trim the driveway trees ;(

From the looks of that limb, the trees been dead a while...go cut that thing down. Free fire wood

Check with your home owners insurance, may cover it

Not sure where you are, but on Ft.Drum NY we had to go around and cut all the trees lower than 35' near buildings and roads on post, they can't handle the weight of the snow

Ouch! That sucks, man. I know. I had the whole top of a tree fall out and hit the top of my 93 to finish her off. I'd had it parked, waiting until I could find a fender and door to fix her. Damn thing of it was, I had actually moved it out from under a tree with a dead limb on it, and lo and behold, the whole top falls out of a perfectly healthy-looking tree one day and takes it out. That was back in the spring of 09. That dead limb on the other tree that I was afraid of still hasn't come down. Go figure.

Bummer!
That blows.
I have a tree that will drop branches, last one put a good hole in the roof of the house.

Something tells me the branch landed "Right on the mark"!
Sucks though, will your insurance cover that?

Should be covered under your homeowner's insurance, less deductible.

My rule is, take the height of the tree, then take distance of tree from -whatever- , if the trees height is greater, chainsaw

Especially northern trees like Sycamore , just a big twig with roots

Tree is right in the front of our driveway. The house deduct is way higher then the car deduct should only cost 100 dollars. It got the drivers fender a tiny spot I can live with. It buckled the 2 front corners by sunroof also didn't see those last night. Just got back from estimate.

I can't imagine it will be too cheap to fix that roof and get it right, especially with making sure the sunroof seals properly, what year is the LS?
