Hey guys, tell me what you think,I've had a lot of compliments.

i never did like those things.
your covering up the chrome around the grill. ...
it looks okay with that color car though...

lOOKS good. Those sure would be nice around my neck of the woods during the summertime. All the bugs on my grill and bumper that will never come. But i kinda agree with luckie though kind hate to hide the front of the car. But another good thing is they will keep the front end looking new especially if your doing a lot of highway driving helps keep value of the car i think. Oh but don't forget to take that off every so often if you don't in a few years your gonna regret, moisture will build up behind those. so good idea to take em off.

I think those things are a great idea to save the front end. My last car, a Mustang, was just beat to death after 80k miles. The bumper cover has as many chips as it had paint spots left on it. Still, I'm not willing to take the hit on appearance.

Has anyone had one of those on his car a long time? Do they damage the paint under the cover (by rubbing or something)?

i dont think they harm the paint, but if you park it outside & keep it on all the time, after a long period of time, and eventually after taking it off, you can notice a color difference in the paint that was under the bra. The paint that is covered will obviously be a little less faded. so you could end up with a slight "tan line" so to speak...
i've seen it on some cars... looks terrible on a red car.

The biggest problem, I would think, would be keeping trash out from between the bra and the paint. One little piece of leaf or stick could turn into sand paper after a couple of hours.

Down here on the beach, Its hard enough trying to keep the sand from building up under the hood let alone from under a bra.

Yeah, I agree... depending on how tightly if fits, it could really beat the crap out of your paint, especially in the winter. A little salt and some grit... oh yeah...wet sand baby!

well what happens is over time sand and dust settles between in and the paint. i've seen some car that never took it off for years and nothing but rust under it.

my very first car 5 years ago a 93 diamante, i put one of those on it to hide where my twin hit a wire and cracked the front left bumber. i worked at a car wash so i always cleaned behind it but i quit and got lazy. when i went to sell the car i took it off to clean it good (to sell faster) and realized tohe color was different cause it had been on for so long and not been taken off. CLEAN REGULARLY. armor all also makes it shine and look 10 times better and wont harm the material.

I don't like the look of them. I would only use one for road trips to protect the front end.

It does look good, but like the above comments - they're no good for your paint.

Had a bra on my 92 Marquis (covered bad paint on the bumper) and it hurt the paint even further. There were alot of scratches, and worn spots where the bra sat.

But since the car already had bad paint because of stone chips, etc - it didn't matter. So if there's nothing wrong with your paint - I wouldn't leave it on there long term.

BTW, do you have a high-res shot of that?

Terrible, it makes the whole front end look like sh*t. Your paint is going to get scratched to hell. I'm going with invisishield.

But who am i to judge i have a "carriage top."

I agree with Black,, I would only use on LONG trips and would remove as soon as I got there. I mean, whats the use of useing one long term, ? to save the paint on the bumper that you don;t even see cause you have the bra on... I think you could have your bumper painted for close to the same cost as the bra itself and still get to show it off in the sun!
IDK just my .02

I think it looks pretty good on your LS, Looks like it fits pretty snug... Take it off and keep it clean under there and you should be alright...

They look terrible but if you do what I do with my convert RS then it saves your front end when you need it. I use it stricktly for long hauls. The aluminum hood on the LS is paper thin compared to aluminum parts today. One chip and your F*^ked and any chip at all starts the oxidation process. I was thinking of picking one up for the LSE when its done for some long hiway runs I'm going to take this summer. Where did you get this one I noticed Ford lists one last time I was at the dealer I wonder if the dealer model looks a little better?
