Did absolutely nothing for my launch at the strip, IMO.

Maybe .005 of a second on the 60' time but nothing worth the hassle. However, the car does ride better, and the rear likes to slide a bit around corners, I am afraid of pushing it though. :( I dont want to lose the thing and hit a curb.

I might find a parking lot and test the handling a bit further to see if the removal of the front swaybar for daily driving would be safe. I really like the way it rides without being hooked up.

I drove the car about 50 miles to the track and back with no problems other than since I only disconnected one side, the LCA hit the swaybar when negociating really uneven surfaces.

Hey -

I disconnected mine earlier this week and I've driven to work every day like that. I'm going to the track this weekend. As a daily driver it is ok, but if you push the car hard you get a lot of body roll and understeer.

They are there for a reason guys. If your wanting a better time at the track, you need more power.

There's a guy at work who swears by removing the front swaybar.... but then he's driving a Turbo Buick Grand National that will do low 11s to high 10s. It is pretty much a track car. It still has a mostly stock suspension but it doesn't turn for crap. That car is scary on street tires.

lmao, the things people do to get a better time at the track never ceases to amaze me... especially to stock mark viii's...
