I'm struggling to replace one of the slider bolts that go into the front brake caliper bracket. It's frozen in place, causing brake drag.

It seems immovable.

Anyone experience this? Any advice? I don't have a drill press, so I don't want to have to drill it out by hand.

Do any retailers open today carry the bracket?
There aren't any cars in the junkyard that share the part, is there?

I thought the T-bird had smaller front brakes, but isn't the caliper the same? Think I could find one in the junk yard?

I've heard this to be a chronic problem but I have not experienced it.

You have to drill it out and go to a junkyard as apparently parts are NOT available?

are you talking about the bolts that hold the caliper to the arbor (where the pads sit) cuz more than likelly its just the slide thats stuck (steel tube that goes through the caliper, between the bolt and caliper) causing the brakes to drag not the bolt itself, if you cant get the bolt out of the arbor, try some slight heat with a torch and some penetrating oil, ive never had one break and i do at least 10 brake jobs a week

The part on the Taurus looks pretty close, the bolts all line up, but it wasn't the exact same shape. I can't chance it, so I'm going to be calling Jamie for the part.
