For Sale:
I have one (1) driver side OEM HID headlamp for a 2nd gen (03-06) Lincoln LS.

Comes with all required bulbs and ballast. Tested and working!

Condition:
I would give the lens 7/10. It is mostly very clear without any cloudiness or pitting, but has some minor light scratches that could be buffed out, and two deep gashes (see photos). The clear coat around the blinker is also somewhat rough. There are no cracks on the lens whatsoever.

Top mounting tab (above hi-beam) is missing which results in a hole in the body. The headlight is still usable (I run my passenger light without the top tab).

It wasn't me ;)

Replied back.

Just one doesn't do me any good. But I would LOVE to have a set of factory HID for this car, even if they were a little rough like this one.

I bought mine one by one, about a month apart. They always come up on eBay. Full sets, however, are quite rare.

Just checked feEbay for some listings. Found another DS light even more banged up than yours... but no luck on the passenger side.

For those who have installed halos or clear corners on the Gen2: I'm thinking I could replace the clear lens or maybe swap out the reflector into my existing lights. Does the reflector bowl detach from the housing neatly? I'm hoping that job wouldn't be too hard and that it would fit back together nicely.
Thoughts?

Depending on how deep they are, you could wet sand them, but then if you have to sand too much, you'll take off the clear coat. It pro wouldn't be worth it to you to ship them to me to fix and install halos. Shipping from canada is like a little more than 100. Thats 200 alone to ship both ways, plus 200 for the rings, plus 100 for labor, thats 500, when you can save big on shipping by doing them yourself. The hardest part is cutting them open, which is you just follow where I cut, you'll be ok.

150 for a hid in this shape is still pretty cheap. I've seen worse that are so bad they are only selling them for parts, that go from 80-150. You can easily wetsand to clean the front and use some rvt sealant to seal the hole in the back and save a lot.

The reflector bowl (hi + lo-beam) is held in by 3 "posts" with ball-joints on the end, one of which is the vertical adjustment post. They do come out fairly easily. If you check my progress thread, I've repaired my passenger side headlight and posted some pics of how the reflector is attached to the housing.

The deep gashes are 2mm at most. Everything else is very minor and could be fixed with the 3M kit.

Also, to ship both lights is around $50-60, which includes full insurance and whatnot. I can provide detailed quotes if you PM me your postal code and city.

What I was thinking was to cut open a set of worn HID lights and cut open my factory halogens. Swap out the reflector bowl (or just the lenses if possible), possibly install some halos, and put them back together. My question is really about the reflector bowl and how easily that comes out of the lights. I would be doing the work myself... I'm brave and there are so many good write-ups on the topic (Alex). I do have an old banged up DS halogen light in my garage for practice.

That could definitely work and sounds like a good plan, however the lens on the light is very clear and looks almost brand new (minus the scratches of course). It would be a shame to waste it without trying to fix it up.

As for the reflector, which includes the low and high beam parts, is one piece held in by 3 of these:

It only takes a fair amount of force to pop those out. There is one at the top (adjustment) and two at the bottom.

Bump, yet again.. Need this gone. Make me an offer!
