your gonna love it.
it's totally sealed unit that shouldn't have any problems with moisture in the future.

be forewarned it's much smaller and lighter than the stock ballast.
your trunk lid WILL open much faster unless you add some weight.

ALSO, becareful when you take out the tailight, without it's weight on the trunk lid the "trunk release" become a very fast catapult!

on my car the trunk lid didn't "spring up" like it should, but with the glitch ballast it actually opens up when I hit the release button.

Just as a follow up this has been on my friends 97 for almost 2 months with no problems (once we got the damn adjustment screw dialed in.) Seems like a good unit, install isn't even too bad.

I've had mine on for almost a yea, it IS a good unit...much better than the OEM junk.

that adjustment screw is a good thing too.. I've still got some tweaking to do on mine, it's not quite bright enough during the day.
I'm glad it has adjustment.

The adjustment is a nice thing to have, the only issue with this one was that it was WAY off when we got it so the 'turn 6 revolutions' or whatever it says in the instructions didn't do anything so we had to do some experimenting...

yea the 6 turns deal made mine "dim".. I had to turn it a couple of more times.
Mines still a little dim, it could use a "twist or two" more probably.
