Up for sale: My beloved 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC Collector's Edition with only 39,200 miles. Located in South Jersey, 10 minutes from Philadelphia. The car is in excellent condition, as shown in the pics. People who don't know any better ask me if it's new all the time.
I've driven the car for the past 18,000 miles, and have had no problems mechanical problems whatsoever. The only things that have been replaced during my ownership are the tires (approximately 6,000 miles on the newer Falken 512's, still excellent tread), the windshield wiper motor, the transmission fluid was flushed and filled with Mercon 5 @ 32,000 miles (strictly as scheduled maintenance), and the blend door was replace when I bought the car. The neon was replaced with an OEM-colored light in similar excellent shape. It's beautiful (see the pics). The air ride works great, displays as 'OK', and the car drives like a dream.
Here's a short list of the only imperfections I can find:
-There is a scrape on the front bumper from a parking lot incident. I never tried to touch it up, it was never worth trying to me. See the pics.
-The car has signs of minor paint wear consistent for a car with 39,000 miles. A minor scratches & paint chips exist, mostly on the bumpers & some on the hood, and there are a few extremely shallow door dings. Other than what can be seen on the bumpers, the rest of the marks are too minor to show up in pics. I encourage anyone to visit and examine the car to judge for themselves, but a trip to the PDR/detail shop could probably straighten most of these issues out.
-When the blend door was replace, the mechs at the dealership put a couple of nicks in the radio surround. Again, please see the pics.
All in all, a fantastic car that I am going to miss dearly. Reason for selling: I'm buying a house and need a down payment. Priced at $14,000 OBO. If it doesn't sell within 2-3 weeks, I'm putting it up on Ebay. It should be noted that a similar car with a little less mileage recently sold on Ebay for $17,600 (I can provide you the link upon request).
I strongly encourage anyone interest to visit and test drive the car. Any questions / pic requests, I'll be happy to accommodate you.
