What does nearly brand new mean, exactly? What's the back story on it?

By that, I meant that if you took this one and set it next to a brand new one, it would be very hard to distinguish between the 2...

None of the bare-metal spots on these, that get surface rust right away, like around the bushings, have any rust at all. The ball joint was Nice ant tight, and the boot was perfect...
