I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V8 with 122,000 miles that is having either some type of vacuum issue or a fuel issue. The car has a issue cranking, Most of the time the first crank is a very long crank and it usually fails to start the first time. I can cycle the key a few times to help prime the pump, but that does not always seem to help. It does seem like tapping the gas pedal a few times during the crank can help it sometimes though. I have replaced the fuel pump and the fuel filter and that did not help at all. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions! Thanks in advance. I have also had the alternator and battery tested out several times and they both passed.
