I have to change the FPR. Does anyone know if it is better to change it with a close to empty tank? Or does it even matter?

Does not matter....just relieve the pressure before you remove it.

While you are at it might as well upgrade......get yerself a Kirban Fuel Pressure Regulator
93 only, or 94-98.

It might be because it is a purchase page.....here is the page prior. You want the KIR5005 for the 93 ONLY, and you want the KIR5018 for the 94-98's.

Unplug the fuel pump cut off switch (located in the trunk below the air ride switch) then start your car and let it run until it dies.

You can simply wrap a rag around the shrader valve (looks like the valve to fill the tires up with air) under the hood on the fuel rail on the drivers side and press down on the valve with a screwdriver or something that you can depress the shrader valve with.....remember to FULLY wrap the schrader valve with the rag.

Hope that helps.

This is the better way IMHO.

Like ray said....make sure you completely cover the valve before you release it. Gas will spray everywhere if not.
