gas cap spring

i need the spring that sits on the gas cap that makes it pop open, mine has rusted off. Is their a part number for this? anyone have one? do i need to buy an entire gas cap? anyone have any custom fab for this? btw its a 97

buy a locking cap, gas gets stoling alot when the prices where high, my friends that work at menardes said they sold out of there little pump things that are made to transfer fluid, no doubt it was because of gas
