:Bang I tried to get gas today. but when I got out of the car the :q gas door wasnt open so I go back around and press it again thinking that I may have opened the trunk but still the door was closed! By this time I was alittle agravated so it popped the trunk ans pulled the emergency cable to open the :q gas door Is there a fix out there to keep this from happening or am I the only one that this crap has happened to? :L

Of course, all electrical components are subject to failure, but usually, the plunger gets gunked up and the door won't release. A little douching of the plunger with some WD-40 followed by working it in a bit ought to do the trick. If you can't hear the door click when you hit the button, I'd suspect some sort of component failure.

I can hear the solenoid clicking everytime I hit the button. So I know its not in the wiring. Here is this plunger? do you mean the outside latch? Thank you for the input :L
