gauge installation help!

Okay, I feel like a retard now....I have a transmission temp and oil pressure gauge (electric). Here is my dilema, I have the temp sensor (for the tranny)and some kind of device that is cylindrical with a tube with a pinhole and is threaded and has two points of contact. Where do these go? Thanks for any help.

Transmission lines. Prefferably the Trans out line.

Without seeing a pic of it, it's hard to get an idea though.
