You can route it anyway that's convenient though, right? Are you bending your own line or buying the actual piece? The original piece can't possible still be available is it?

Perhaps the way it is routed IS the easiest way to route it?

I'm going to try to use the one off my '97 parts car. If that won't work, I'll have to buy a piece of line and bend it myself.

Nickel Copper alloy brake line!
Consider using this stuff everywhere that you dont have to worry about hitting the brake lines with tools for other repairs etc. this brake line should be standard on all northern cars, never rusts etc, but more importantly for jobs like this, it is super easy to bend/route through funky bends etc.
Bends easy,wont kink unless you just get plain stupid with it. twice the price but worth every penny imo.
