gen 1 coil rewire

has anyone ever tried to rewire the coil packs on the gen 1 so the plug wires don't have to cross over the motor?

by the nature of a wasted spark system, i don't think you can do that.

option b, convert to the 2nd gen COP system.

Did you find your air intake tube does not fit flush down onto the throttle body? On mine I had to notch the pass cop cover to let the air tube sit lower.

From my understanding coils are some what inexpensiv for new ones, if your just trying to save money find a used set off a Continental or Mark. Would be fun to take a band saw to one though.
