Today someone tried to steal my drivers side mirror, luckily i had an aftermarket alarm that warded them away. However the mirror was hanging off by two wires that hook up directly to the back of the mirror and I assume that it's heated but I don't have an option for it on the center console. Does it work by the rear defroster switch or did the previous owners replace the original mirror with this one? Thanks!

From your owner's manual:

Heated outside mirrors
Both mirrors are heated
automatically to remove ice, mist
and fog when the rear window
defrost is activated.

Wow, didn't know that. I do have a problem with my rear defroster not working though. Any idea on where to start?

The first place to look is the two buttons that the wires to the grid on the glass connect too. One on the left, the other on the right, just behind the pillar trim. Perhaps one of these has broke off of the glass.

I have one dead element on the grid and it stares at me :(

Well it looks like the pad for the connector on the passenger side is ripped out from the glass. Any idea how I'll get that back on there?

I've used something like that before once and it worked fine, don't remember the brand but it was some kind of high silver content epoxy.

When the button for the antenna came off my rear window I used conductive epoxy to reattach it. It's been on there for a couple of years, I believe. It does need heat to properly set; I aimed a blow dryer set on high on it for about 10 minutes.......
