I searched for this but no luck. Can anyone tell me if Gen2 seats will in fact fit on a Gen 1? I have an opportunity to get a whole set for a pretty good price?

Yes and No. I have had them in since '02. They do fit if you "re-skin" your Gen 1 frames with the Gen 2 covers and foam as well as headrest. Its time consuming but easy and well worth it since the Gen 1 seats make you feel like your going to slide off them At least the Gen 2 seats have somewhat of a bolster.

So Geno, the Gen 2 will not directly just bolt in?

Geno got those chrome door handles off of a Gen 2 Mark. I am copying him now doing the same thing to my 93. I got my door handles off of a 98 for only $20.
