I am trying to replace my door jamb switch and got stuck not being able to remove the switch after removing the 3 screws on door. My question does the bottom screw that holds the power lock actuator have to be removed to remove entire unit in order to remove switch, I pulled on switch and broke the plug off the unit and by the looks of the new one their is metal flange that looks likes it locks the switch into lock mechanism. Or do I need to remove door handle for better access to switch to pull off a lock ring that is on switch or use pliers to just get better force.
