Gen2 Ignition Cover

How does that plasti-coated surround come off? I'm having the whole car covered in the near future and I'd like to have the plasti-coated interior pieces redone at the same time.

You have to remove the key cylinder.
Put the key in
Then you need to depress the pin that holds it in on the backside... this is the tricky part because you can't really see it, but it is on the bottom of the lock assembly.
If you find it and depress it then it is as simple as turning the key a 1/4 turn and pulling it out, then the trim comes right off.
