good deal on a keyless entry pad....

Wow! That's almost too good a price to be true! He has outstanding feedback though...and it's only 10 bucks. I may just buy that just to see what I get! Helluva price!!

nah - it will go for much more - still time left on the auction. They usualy go for $80 - $120 bucks.

I bought one from the dealer for over a $100.00 for my ranger. It works fine.

Oh...they work great! Mounted it on the LS under the lip of the trunk (above the license plate) where it can't be seen. Just remember...on pre 03's...you have to have the dealer program it with all your fobs at once.

what do u mean "with all your fobs"? is it a pain for them to have it done on the pre 03's?

It's a wireless keypad...and is nothing more than a glorified fob. It does work just like the factory installed ones do though...so it's worth it. But since it works off the same principal as your fob, on pre 03's you have to take it and all your fobs to a dealer (or independant shop with an NGS tester) and have them all programmed at once. On 03 and later, you can do it yourself.

I sell them for $50 a peice of interested.

Yeah, I am definitely interested, how can I go about buying one, and is it similar to the one mentioned in this thread.

Team Ford,

I would like to order a keypad and I would also like to get a set of folding mirrors with the puddle lights. How do I go about doing this.

Generically, a fob is a counterbalance to the key - in this case they are talking about your wireless transmitter. That's a fob.

does FOB technically stand for something? or is that a word pronounce (FO - B)

I think i understand it maybe i can greak it down for ppl. Basically the pad is just like your keyless entry button and u need the chip in the pad to be programmed to open your locks just like if you get a new keyless entry pad u need it programmed to work on YOUR locks. but on pre 03' the dealer has to do it for some reason. If im right i would love to order one.

my friends shop has the ability to get frequencies from my unlock button and other features on mycar.. would it be able to be done that way.. or do i HAVE to go to the dealer?

btw does anyone know how much a dealership or someone would charge if i have to get the progamming done there?
