Just wondering what my chances are for taking my brother in his 2004 BMW 330CI-M Package lets say quater mile and light to light or like 0-60. Horsepower 231 @ 5,900 rpm
Torque 214 ft. lb. @ 3,500 rpm , Curb weight 1,490 kg (3,285 lbs.),
Ive got 2002 LS8 With Magnaflow Exhaust, Intake Tube and KKM.

Just wondering what you guys think before I put quite a bit of money on it. I might be in way over my head here but by looking at the specs i think it would be very close? anyone from experience? hes been bugging me to put the car to the test.
 
The 330 Coupe will take the 2002 LS unless you have all the mods, XCAL, intake, exhaust...
 
What are his transmission and FDR ratios? Also give the weight of the car and what size wheels/tires will he be using?
 
I have Exhaust and intake tube and KKM thats all.....his car is totally STOCK.. with a trunk full of :q:q:q:q.. LOL doubt hell clean it out too.. he thinks its the fastest around.. lol well faster than mine anyway.... i just wanna win some money before he gets the 335I = 300HP two twin turbos :O anyway what do ya think?
 
i'm not so sure that the bmw would walk you so easily.. you far out torque him and edge him out in hp. if he's got a manual he'll beat you out the dig but down the strip you'll close on him. if he's got an auto i'm betting on you. here's something for you to consider:

330ci ZHP is a sick car. It actually has 235hp and 222lb of tourque stock. I also has a shorter diff from the regular sport package 330 so it is faster, does 0-60 in about 5.6 seconds. Bimmer should win.

That's the numbers for regular 330ci, the ZHP number are different.

guys, thats not the specs of the car... look at my original post... thats the exact horespower and weight and i know definently that they run 0-60 i think about 6.7 seconds.... its a 6 speed manual.....and he has been driving sticks since he was 16 and has had camaros and such since he was 16....

amen to that...
well, by the time you finish and do it right, its around $1k (controller, tune misc) but your thinking is correct. i just barely beat my brother's 93 formula lt1 from a 50 mph roll with around 85 shot and running rich- but thats more than sufficient to take out a stock 330. and your wallet will thank you.

we're both going to new england dragway friday 5/30. he'll smoke me though when he's running his 150 shot in the firebird.
 
no spay for me.... i think i got him with my mods.. jsut gotta wait for him to come down...

BOOOOOO to friday night street night! I run Test and tune now just because the track is sooooo much better prepped.
 
I raced an automatic 330 with an 03 lsv8 and beat him from a stop and on the highway. He pulled in front about half a car from the stop but I was in front about 1 1/2-2 lengths by the end of the race and still pulling away.


Coat his tire tread in tire shine...you win.

Try and videotape it too whether you win or lose.
