recently i've been noticing that every time i search something in google, yahoo, ask, etc... i get redirected to either yellow pages or some job search site. what the heck is going on?

Sounds like you have some redirect software on your computer. I'm not getting any of the redirects you're speaking of.

I use it all the time and dont get any of that. Time to remove the adware from them porn sites you been looking at.

You my friend, have a virus. Scan your computer with a reputable virus scanner and remove any trace of that sucker. If you are lucky it is just malware / adware and you'll need a tool to remove that as well.

Spyware Terminator and Malwarebytes should get you started.
