Well today to my surprise I walk out my g/f because she had to go to work and there was a Fed Ex truck sitting in the drive so I immediately get all giddy like a 5 yr old at Toys R us. He had my aluminum intake tube from LSkoncepts.

Well here is the bad news, it came w/ a dent at the curve where it goes around the front and it had a couple of pit marks and it got another after I barely tapped it on something  , but I did not let it get me down. Fitting was abit tough aswell, had to be alittle aggressive trying to get in to line up sort of right. Also had a problem w/ the nozle that is in the middle on the passenger side that you disconnect and have to reattach. Problem was the whole was not big enough for the piece to go back in so I than had to make a trip to lowes and get a 1 1/4 inch fernco(sp) and so that looks alittle eh now but its covered by the cover. Another thing was getting the air filter back on and keep it on but I go that easy and had to use a zip tie(for now) to hold the first rubber tube on just after the air sensor.

Another than all that it was a pretty good time:shifty: .

I started it up and checked everything over and than took it for a quick trip and its really nice. Even smoother feeling now and great get up. Car sounds amazing now aswell, I got on it and there was people outside their house and they whipped around to see what was screaming:D :D . Got home and checked everything again and the tube was pretty warm and had a smell but I guess that is going to be like that being alum.

Here are the pics:

Pics are alittle blah because it was dark out and dim in the garage I can better ones if anyone would like.

Thanks Ken, so far so good.

Looks good! Email me about the tube being dinged.

As for the vacuum line, it's a snug fit for sure and should not require any modification. I checked the diameter of the polished tube versus the stainless tube and they are the same. Just add a little lubricant to the inside of the vacuum tube and around the rubber seal on the hose. It should slide in with a little effort. Also, please be careful NOT to over tighten the clamps on the silicone coupler that is on the throttle body. It should only be snug.

Suppose to get mine Tuesday. As long as the final result is good I'll be happy.
Least now I now what to expect, thanks.

I'll go back out in a min or so and check the clamps on the TB. You SHOULD OF PUT THAT IN THE HOW-TO ahahahahaha. Just joking.

Well, I did put it on the instructions going out after yours did. I was concerned too many people would over tighten that.

O soo pretty, u should take some windex and clean it up, but looks good. maybe one day ill get one

By snug do you mean you can if you try w/ a decent amount of effort you can pull it off? That is what mine is at.

Whats the concern with the over tightening, crushing the tube? I learned the overtightening lesson a long time ago. Just want to have all the input before I do mine.
For instance, I pulled a headlight apart without the oven pre-heat, then saw a post the next day and felt stupid.

I guess that is the concern, I losened it abit more so now its like it has a bit of "play" but not to much that it well come off(I hope),

The overtighten issue is that you don't crush the throttle body. This will be a very expensive repair if you damage it.

Gotcha, haven't even looked at it yet, Never knew a TB to be that delicate.
Tuesday I'm sure I'll get the picture.

I hate doing any thing like this to my car, cause there is always something like that tightening thing that lingers around and I just won't let it go. I was out their for like 30 minutes going "that seems good, Wait!..... Ahh there we go. Damn, is it too lose now, hmmm." If my car blows up I won't be shocked.

I cannot wait to drive it to work. Sounds like a turbo... ugh, how do you say it, de-spooling when you shut it down.

Totally, I get the same way sometimes, I,m not one to let it go, I'll go check it one more time. Can't wait to do mine, tomorrows ganna drag now.

Yea, I cleaned it up last night before bed. Pics were taken literally seconds after I completed it. Next time I wash the car (when am I not) I'm going to hit the engine bay.

I really like it, late last night I took it out again because the g/f was hungry and I got on it and she said "holy, wow," and I like yea it got louder. On the way back on my road I got on it good and I was actually being pushed back and the g/f said something like she could not believe it made that big of a difference. Very surprise myself.

Am home for lunch and I took the i-485 and got up to 80(not pushing it) and it felt really nice and there is also no more need to give it alot of gas to get moving to pass so that it downshifts, so that is another thing I like. Just doesn't feel like a slug so much.

Now its back to taking it easy :).

Not washing necessarly, just wet towel and wiping. I do not like the idea of going at an engine bay w/ a hose and what not. Plus that is all I need to do because its not really diry anyway since I "wipe down" it since I got it after every couple of washes.
