I have just bought another 2000 LS V8 Sport from my local dealer. I sold the last one to my buddy, who is making a turbo kit for it, so there are hopes still alive. Anyways, I'm buying some 20's and i need to know, what size tires do i need, so they wont rub, and my speedometer wont be all off. I need a engine cover also, mine is missing for some reason, and i really like the carbon fiber ones and alumnium ones i've seen, but i know the one's ive seen are custom by the owners most likely, so where do i get one, i know ford parts lists for $45, anywhere else i can get them, or does anyone have a used one for sale ?? thanks for the help.

I can't help you with the tires but you can check out www.lskoncepts.com. I think the carbon fiber mod you are talking about originated from there. He sells the CF Sheets. I think you might have to cut and mold though.

Also call 5 star ford ask for maxx their add is on the right hand side of the page. They have smokin delas and are very customer service centric. In regards to speedo I think you are going to be off regardless of what tire size you compensate with so you might want to look into superchips flasher have them program some tune ups and update the pcm to refelt the tire/wheel change out.

Right - the speedo is calibrated to what ever you had stock - use http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp to see how much you will be off. The SCT XCalibrator can correct this (SuperCustomTuners).

The plastic engine cover is all the same - some owners have either painted or covered them.

Ok, I worked at Tire Rack a few years ago, and I know you can match the original tire by lowering the tire sides. for example, 235/50/17- you get 20"s, I believe 245/30/20 will make it work. you are making the circumfrence the same, top of tire to bottom of tire on 17" is the same as 20" with tires above ?? i believe this to be correct. Anyways, thanks for the cover info.
