well, its official, signed the lease on my new shop today, i will no longer be in tarpon springs in my tiny shop, i'm moving 2 miles north to holiday fl to my new shop at the end of this month. i'm going from just shy of 800sq feet to 3,000 sq ft. totally kick ass!!!! location is sweet, tons of parking private lot, my unit is 1 of only 6 in the building, where i am now there are 63 units, i even have my own loading dock, now i can get back to shipping motors and anything else big because i have a forklift and the loading dock, now the semi's can come right to me. its a corner unit so i have a 14h x 10 w bay door on the back side, with a standard door to get in the shop next to that, and next to the loading dock on the side another 14 h x 10 w door. the loading dock is completely covered too, set up with 3 phase, a 20 x 10 insulated air conditioned office with its own bathroom, no more sharing with other tennants, and the roof of the office will be my new loft, there is already stairs going up on top of it, the ceilings are 20 feet high with skylights so no need for any lights during the day. is just awesome, i have been waiting for this for years to get out of the dump i am in. i could almost fit 4 of my shops now into the new one! landlord is awesome, such a cool guy. me and my buddy matt are splitting the shop, he is taking one half for his cylinder head shop and i'm doint the lincolns and autobody and whatever else i do! even if he has half the shop, i could easily put 8 mark VIII's in there with room to spare, i'm so excited. the move is gonna suck ass though, i can do my shop in one day, but matt's is gonna suck, we have a lathe, head surfacer, a huge ass bridgeport, flow bench, and all his other crap to move, these arent garage machines, these are huge and heavy!! not looking forward to that, i'll update this as we set up the shop, man is it gonna be sweet!!!

i cant stop thinking about it. we already have paint for the walls and i have 5 gallons of medium gray concrete sealer paint to do the floor, we're gonna hammer it all out and hurry up and move in. i know i'll wreck the floor eventually with the cars getting dragged out but the nice part is now my tow truck driver will be able to back right into the shop with his kenworth and grab the cars, the shop i have now he can only back up to the door and drag them out. and now i'll have so much more room for painting and body work and not have to worry about covering everything in dust and over spray. its gonna be badass.

Congrads there Jamie-- I know you will probably weld up some Dolly system to yank the cars around on so you don't tear up your floor. I will definitely look you up when I get down that way.

Are you going to add to the business with your new size? Maybe engine swaps and installs? Become an all Lincoln parts dealer covering many more models than the Mark VIII?

Jamie I'm going to make it a point 10 years from now to bring a car to you from Philadelphia just so you can fix it.

chris i am not moving into a bigger shop for the lincolns, i'm moving for myself. i do so much more than lincolns, i can do almost anything carpentry related, electrical, plumbing, body work, fix vehicles, tractors, i'm a jack of all trades master of none, i just want a shop that i can move in, when i detail a car, i want 5 feet minimum around the car, its so big i can even start detailing some boats too, i already know people with boats who have asked me already so its a matter of room, right now i cant do that unless i pull outside. half the office will be for my desk and paper work and stuff instead of a cabinet i currently use, matt will take the other half for his desk, 2 work tables and flow bench. eventually once moved in i will get internet hooked up also to keep a computer there, plus my buddy adam has a shop there 2 doors over, he used to rent where i am now, but he always has people looking to get their little honda ricers painted, my partner matt has a huge customer base for race cars thats mostly what he does for cylinder heads is big inch brodix crap, 2 of his customers have race cars they want sprayed, i mean i need the shop for me, not so much the mark VIII stuff, but lately we have been doing decent off the lincoln stuff so i'll keep it going as long as i can!

good for you....i was always told not to put all my eggs in one basket...if you can detail boats ...look into the fiberglass repair..it pays soooo much more...detailing boats is very lucrative too. look up hi- temp products if youre not worried about body shop safe stuff....best shine and durability you will ever see....one gallon of paint sealer will almost last you a lifetime....congrats and good for you!!!

Congrats man! Cant wait to see it... and I see why you havent responded to my emails again!

sorry stack i am just so busy this is the first time in 3 days i have been able to get online. i have so much going on right now the next few weeks is gonna blow. i just told my current shop landlord tonight that i'm moving out, you would of thought one of his family members just died, i think it bothered him alot, there is no one left in there, and now 2 more of us are splittin too! oh well, i have to do what i have to do. i will respond to you stack, i have your email saved, just bare with me like i said man things are so hectic right now.

well we started, omg i havent seen the wall above my loft in 6 years!! everything on the loft is down, i through a bunch of door panels away, some bumpers, and i'm tossing a stack of seat tracks out too. tomorrow i got a 20 foot enclosed racing trailer getting dropped off from my buddy for the whole weekend and i'm getting the keys to the new shop early. gonna try and move everything this weekend. here is the mess i made tonight!!
