got new shocks

i ordered the monroe sensatracs for my 00 LS V8 and i was just wondering .. how hard is this to install them myself?,,,, i just installed new brake pads and rotors and it was relatively easy.. does anyone out there have a step by step for the LS?
let me know your opinions...........

As mechanically inclined as I am I opted NOT to install these. I had my local alignment shop do it since they could put them on in a couple of hours and align it too. I'm sure you can DIY.

I have the Monroe Sensatracs on my car and they are very similar to the base shock. It will give you a good ride but if you are looking for a stiffer shock the Monroe is not it. I may end up switching shocks to the sport version shock that Ford sells. The Monroe is just a tad bit too soft for me.
 
do you have a spring compressor? if not forget it. You will end up in a hosptial. not an insult just that swapping over the springs in not a something you wanna try for the first time without the proper tools or knowledge

Are you going to buy the euro version?
 
I'll probably go with the Sport shock. The Euro shock is way too stiff.
 
I have the euro's on my 2001, like having no suspension. Had a slammed 65 chevelle that rode better. Didn't look as good though.
